Confirm the drawing before production starts – after the body is cut and the headstock is machined, changes to the pin pattern mean a new headstock, not an adjustment. Spare bushings and pins can be supplied with the unit so the first rebuild does not wait on parts.

Questions we are usually asked

What is the difference from a horizontal log grapple?
A horizontal grapple closes on a load lying in front of it. This one is lowered onto the object from above and closes around it, which is what pole and standing-timber work requires.

Can it pick up a pole from the ground?
It is designed to be lowered over the object. Picking a pole off flat ground with a vertical claw set is awkward; a horizontal grapple is the better tool for that job.

Is rotation necessary?
Rotation helps when you need to orient the pole before setting it. It requires one auxiliary circuit; tell us the machine’s flow and we size the rotator.

Related

All excavator attachments – 45 models

Attachment specifications and interface standards

Send your machine details for a quotation

A vertical five-claw grapple that is lowered over a standing pole, post or trunk rather than reaching into a horizontal pile.
