Cable Laying Bucket SKK4-300-S40 – 300 mm, 3.5 t

Machinery attachments / Cable Laying Bucket

Overview

A cable bucket is a narrow trenching bucket for laying cable, conduit, pipe and drainage. The narrow body keeps the trench tight, which means less spoil to handle and less backfill and reinstatement afterwards.

In numbers, the SKK4-300-S40 is 300 mm width (12 in), 60 L capacity, 66 kg, for 3.5 t carriers. Weight and working width are the two numbers that decide whether a machine handles the tool comfortably, which is why both are quoted before the drawing is issued.

Where it works

  • Power, telecom and fibre cable trenches
  • Water, gas and irrigation pipe laying
  • Drainage and land-drain runs
  • Narrow footings and kerb-line works
  • Utility repair work in paved areas where a wide cut is not acceptable

Build and materials

  • 400HBW wear plate on the bottom and side plates, Q355 structural body
  • Reinforced top beam and a cutting edge sized to the bucket width
  • Narrow taper so spoil clears instead of packing in the corners
  • Mount built to your coupler or pin-on dimensions

Mounting and compatibility

These buckets are supplied with S-type coupler mounts (S30, S40, S45) or as a pin-on bucket to your pin diameter and centre distance. Confirm the coupler size on your machine, not just the tonnage.

Packing and delivery

Units are packed on an export frame or in a plywood crate, strapped and corner protected. We photograph the packed unit before dispatch and send the loading plan with the shipping documents. Tell us the destination port and we confirm the freight basis – FOB, CFR or CIF – in the quotation.

Frequently asked questions

How narrow can the trench be?

The range starts at 200 mm for 1 t machines and goes to 400 mm on 8 t carriers. If you need a specific width outside the range, we build to drawing.

Does a narrow bucket reduce excavator stability?

A narrow bucket cuts faster but can bind in clay. On compact machines keep the dipper length in mind; we can advise on cutting edge and taper for your soil conditions.

Which coupler sizes are available?

S30-180 on the 1-2 t models, S40 on the 3.5-5 t models and S45 on the 8 t model, or pin-on to your dimensions.
