Digging Bucket SKD3 UT-520-S30-180 – 520 mm, 2 t

Machinery attachments / Digging Bucket

Overview

A general-purpose digging bucket for trenching, foundations, landscaping and utility work. The profile balances breakout force against clean dumping, so it suits mixed ground rather than one narrow application.

Specification of the SKD3 UT-520-S30-180: 520 mm width (20 in), 70 L capacity, 76 kg, for 2 t carriers. The point of this size is fewer passes – wide enough to make progress, not so wide that the machine loses its footing with the load at full reach.

Where it works

  • Foundation and footing excavation
  • Utility and drainage trenches
  • Landscaping, planting and grading work
  • Loading spoil into trucks or dumper skips
  • General earthmoving on compact sites

Build and materials

  • 400HBW bottom and side wear plates on a Q355 body
  • Reinforced top beam and wrapped heel to resist cracking at the bend
  • Cutting edge matched to bucket width and carrier class
  • Coupler or pin-on mount, with lifting point available on request

Mounting and compatibility

Supplied with S30-180, S40 or S45 coupler mounts depending on carrier size, or pin-on to your pin diameter and centre distance. Coupler standard matters more than tonnage – an S30 and an S40 machine of the same weight take different buckets.

Packing and delivery

Units are packed on an export frame or in a plywood crate, strapped and corner protected. We photograph the packed unit before dispatch and send the loading plan with the shipping documents. Tell us the destination port and we confirm the freight basis – FOB, CFR or CIF – in the quotation.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose between two buckets with the same width?

Capacity and plate thickness differ. The larger-tonnage version of the same width carries more volume and a heavier cutting edge, which is the one to take if your machine can lift it.

Is 400HBW plate worth it over mild steel?

400HBW roughly doubles the wear life of the bottom and sides in abrasive ground. In soft soil the difference is small; in gravel and demolition spoil it pays back quickly.

Can you add a lifting hook or ripper teeth?

Yes – teeth, a lifting point and a bolt-on edge are all available. Tell us the tooth pattern you want when you request the quotation.
