Building materials / Black Film Faced Plywood 18 mm
Overview
An 18 mm black film faced plywood, 1220 × 2440 mm, with MR glue and film on both faces. The extra 3 mm over the 15 mm panel buys stiffness across the span, which is where most formwork deflection problems come from.

Frequently asked questions
Why choose 18 mm over 15 mm?
Stiffness rises faster than thickness, so 18 mm deflects less at the same joist spacing – or allows wider spacing for the same deflection.
How many pours will it last?
Typically 8-15 with proper release agent, cleaning and edge sealing. Site handling usually decides the life more than the panel does.
