Grading Bucket SKP4-1200-S40 – 1200 mm, 3.5 t

Machinery attachments / Grading Bucket

Overview

A grading bucket is wide and shallow with a flat floor, built to cut and carry a level layer rather than dig deep. It is the tool for trimming to grade, spreading and back-blading.

In numbers, the SKP4-1200-S40 is 1200 mm width (47 in), 200 L capacity, 175 kg, for 3.5 t carriers. Weight and working width are the two numbers that decide whether a machine handles the tool comfortably, which is why both are quoted before the drawing is issued.

Where it works

  • Trimming sub-base and final grade before paving
  • Spreading topsoil, gravel and crushed stone
  • Cutting and maintaining drainage falls and cambers
  • Back-blading and cleaning trench edges
  • Landscaping and sports-ground shaping

Build and materials

  • Flat floor and wide mouth for level carrying rather than penetration
  • 400HBW wear strips on floor and sides, Q355 shell
  • Reinforced heel and top beam to hold shape under back-blading
  • Bolt-on reversible edge available for long life in abrasive material

Mounting and compatibility

S30-180 on 1-2 t machines, S40 on 3.5-5 t and S45 on the 8 t model, or pin-on to your dimensions. A grading bucket is often the second bucket on a compact machine, so matching the same coupler as your digging bucket keeps change-over quick.

Packing and delivery

Units are packed on an export frame or in a plywood crate, strapped and corner protected. We photograph the packed unit before dispatch and send the loading plan with the shipping documents. Tell us the destination port and we confirm the freight basis – FOB, CFR or CIF – in the quotation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a grading bucket and a digging bucket?

A grading bucket is wider and shallower with a flat floor, so it spreads and trims. A digging bucket is deeper with more breakout force. Using a digging bucket to trim grade rarely gives a clean result.

Can it be used for back-blading?

Yes, the flat back and reinforced heel are designed for it. Keep the bucket flat to the surface and work in short passes to avoid digging in.

Do you supply a bolt-on edge?

Yes, a reversible bolt-on edge is available for abrasive ground, which also extends the life of the bucket floor.
